This year due to situation with pandemic for the first time in Latvia, Daugavpils University, in cooperation with the Latvian State Education Development Agency (VIAA), organized an online course titled “Bryology Summer School: From Bryophyte Identification to Practical Use”. Pavel Širka from Technical University in Zvolen, Slovakia and Lenka Trojanovičová from Comenius University in Bratislava, Slovakia are the participants of bryology summer school. They chose to participate in this summer school to improve his bryophyte identification skills and to work in an international environment.

Hannah Katharina Schöberl Latvian state scholarship experience

Hannah Katharina Schöberl is a 12th semester medicine student from Germany studying at Riga Stradiņš University (RSU) since 2015. First 3 years she didn't know about Latvian State scholarships, but in 2018 she took advantage of the opportunity and get a financial support for studies. As an active student Hannah Katharina has been involved in RSU International Student Association and in others organizations.

A professor from Uzbekistan proceed research about ethnocultural problems of the Baltic Nation in Turkestan



Sherzodjon Choriev is an associate professor of the History faculty of the National University of Uzbekistan. In 2014-2018 he conducted his PhD on the basis of archival documents of the National Archive of Uzbekistan and here he found a lot of archival documents on the history of the Baltic nation. So, he came to Latvia for proceed his research at the Liepaja University about ethnocultural problems of the Baltic nation in Turkestan.

Aygun Bayramli is a student from Azerbaijan and she has arrived in Latvia to study business. Before coming to Latvia Aygun had decided to start her own business, so she wanted to gain experience and advice in this area.
