In Riga will be held Erasmus+ thematic seminar

The Latvian National Agency for Erasmus+ in the fields of Education and Training – State Education Development Agency – is organising international thematic seminar “Erasmus+ programme support for tackling early school leaving”. Seminar is scheduled on 15th of October 2015 in Riga, Latvia.


Theme and objective

The main objective of the seminar is awareness raising and sharing practices of work for reduction of early school leaving, taking into consideration that it is one of the European Union policy priorities in the period till 2020.

Erasmus+ programme can serve as one of the instruments available for effective cooperation and best practice sharing in early school leaving problem solution.


Target group

Planned number of participants is 80 from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia and France. The target group includes participants from different education sectors - local and regional education authorities, school sector, vocational education and training sector and adult sector representatives, policy makers, national supervisors and other relevant stakeholders interested in sharing expertise and experience in the field of early school leaving.


Working Language

The working language of the thematic seminar will be Latvian and English, interpretation will be provided.
