As the WorldSkills Europe new President is elected Dita Traidas

Director of the State Education Development Agency Dita Traidas was elected for the WorldSkills Europe President position at the General Assembly on October 19th. She has been on the Board of Directors for four years and will now step up to be the very first female President in a WorldSkills organisation.

Dita Traidas says: ”I’m very honored to be elected as President and to work together with a great team. The main focus in upcoming years will be on quality in skills competitions, member engagement and to reach out to stakeholders promoting skills - all with the purpose to strengthen the skills movement in the European context.”

The new Board of Directors will consist of another six members from Austria, Hungary, France, United Kingdom, Belgium and Finland. WorldSkills Europe is a growing organisation and the General Assembly  welcomed Poland as its 29th member.

WorldSkills Europe is a nonprofit member association that promotes excellence in the field of skills and competence development. The organisation raises awareness of the importance of professional excellence and high quality vocational education and training for Europe.
