The evaluation of the Latvian state scholarship competition for international students for the 2025/2026 academic year is complete. The State Education Development Agency received 355 applications from 27 different countries. A total of 99 applicants from 23 nationalities have been awarded study scholarships.
The highest number of scholarship recipients is from Ukraine, with 14 students.
- Following Ukraine, the recipients are:
- Azerbaijan: 10 scholarships
- Germany: 10 scholarships
- Finland: 9 scholarships
- Uzbekistan: 9 scholarships
- Turkey: 7 scholarships
- Italy: 5 scholarships.
Other countries also have scholarship recipients, contributing to the diverse representation of nationalities.
- Top 6 Higher education institutions (HEIs) with scholarship recipients:
- Rīga Stradiņš University: 28 scholarships
- Riga Technical University: 23 scholarships
- University of Latvia: 14 scholarships
- Latvia University of Life Sciences and Technologies: 7 scholarships
- Stockholm School of Economics in Riga: 5 scholarships
- Turiba University: 5 scholarships.
